She's down for Stanford. No surprise. She missed it last year for obvious reasons.

Schnyder, Bartoli reach second round in Montreal
Montreal, QC (Sports Network) - Ninth-seeded Swiss veteran Patty Schnyder and former Wimbledon runner-up Marion Bartoli were a pair of first-round winners Monday at the $1.34 million Rogers Cup tennis event.
The 29-year-old Schnyder was leading Meng Yuan 7-6 (8-6), 3-2 when the Chinese retired from the match due to a left thigh injury. Yuan was leading 4-1 in the first set when the two women were sent off the court for a brief 15-minute rain delay.
The 10th-seeded French Bartoli, last year's runner-up at the All England Club, snuck past British qualifier Melanie South 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-0 on the hardcourts at Uniprix Stadium.
Meanwhile, France's Virginie Razzano pasted compatriot Aravane Rezai 6-1, 6-1, while promising Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova leveled Russian Elena Vesnina 6-1, 6-1 on Day 1.
Some other opening-round victors were Romanian Monica Niculescu, Portuguese qualifier Michelle Larcher de Brito, Russian Anastasia Rodionova and Czech Petra Kvitova. The 15-year-old Larcher de Brito came from behind to beat American Vania King 2-6, 6-3, 6-3.
Retired Belgian Justine Henin defeated Serbian Jelena Jankovic in last year's Rogers Cup finale, in Toronto. This tournament shifts between Montreal and Toronto each year.
This week's top seeds are world No. 1 French Open champion and Australian Open runner-up Ana Ivanovic, her fellow Serb Jankovic, and Aussie Open champ and former top-ranked Russian star Maria Sharapova. Ivanovic will open her week against Kvitova.
The 2008 Rogers Cup titlist will collect $196,900.

Paszek Ousts Schiavone; Bartoli, Schnyder Advance
MONTRÉAL, Canada - There was rain on and off all day but almost all of the day's scheduled matches were completed, as the first round kicked off at the Rogers Cup presented by National Bank on Monday. Two of the three seeds in action advanced but Francesca Schiavone wasn't so lucky, falling to Tamira Paszek in a see-saw three-setter.
Schiavone, seeded No.14, beat Paszek in three sets in the first round of the Tier I event last year, but this time the teenager prevailed, 76(4) 16 61. It was their fourth career meeting and they are now 2-2.
"I think she's the player I've played her most times," the 17-year-old Paszek said. "We always have really, really tough matches when we play each other. She was playing more aggressively in the second set and I think that's what made the difference, but I'm happy I was able to get it back in the third."
Schiavone has now fallen first round in both of her summer hardcourt events, losing to Canada's Aleksandra Wozniak in her Stanford opener two weeks ago.
The other two seeds in action won, but not without quite a bit of resistance. No.9 seed Patty Schnyder had a very slow start against Yuan Meng, trailing 5-1 and facing four set points later in the first set; but she pulled the set out and won the match, 76(6) 32, when Yuan retired with a thigh injury. No.10 seed Marion Bartoli also had a struggle, dropping the second set, but stormed back to beat Melanie South, 63 67(5) 60.
A wave of unseeded Top 50 players moved through in straight sets, as Shahar Peer beat Sabine Lisicki, 63 64; Virginie Razzano beat Aravane Rezai, 61 62; Dominika Cibulkova beat Elena Vesnina, 61 61; and Tamarine Tanasugarn beat Olivia Sanchez, 63 61. Other winners were Petra Kvitova, Anastasia Rodionova, Monica Niculescu, qualifiers Alla Kudryavtseva and Michelle Larcher de Brito and finally Canadian wildcard Stéphanie Dubois, who was ahead 61 42 on Olga Govortsova when the Belarusian retired with a right hip injury.
The only singles match postponed due to rain was No.12 seed Nadia Petrova's opener against Canadian wildcard Marie-Ève Pelletier.
The first doubles match of the week took the court, with Liga Dekmeijere and Angela Haynes beating Julie Ditty and Shikha Uberoi, 61 64. One other doubles match was suspended and pushed to Tuesday's schedule.

ILL Bartoli claims South victory
French tennis player Marian Bartoli
Bartoli was forced to battle through illness before claiming victory
France's Marian Bartoli overcame a bout of illness to beat British qualifier Melanie South in the first round of the Rogers Cup in Montreal.
Bartoli needed on-court treatment during the second set for a stomach bug, which has affected a number of players at the tournament.
The 10th seed eventually came through 6-3 6-7 (5-7) 6-0.
"I was not feeling good at all and the doctor gave me tablets but I had to hang in tough," said Bartoli.
"I was not feeling good at all. My legs were shaking. My arms were shaking by themselves. I was really dizzy. I got cold.
"The tablets helped a lot in the third set but it took a while for me to feel a little better. But I needed to come up with the win." 606: DEBATE Give your thoughts on the Rogers Cup
Bartoli was told by a member of the medical staff at the tournament that between 15 and 20 players have contracted the virus.
"They told us to wash even more our hands and not touch the same food as the others, or drink the same water - to be really careful because there's a virus going on," she added.
There were also wins for ninth seed Patty Schnyder, who advanced when Yuan Meng of China retired with a thigh injury, and Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic who beat Aiko Nakamura of Japan 6-2 6-4 to line up a match with top seed Ana Ivanovic.
Qualifier Michelle Larcher de Brito, the 15-year-old from Portugal who reached the round of 16 two weeks ago in Stanford, continued to impress with a 2-6 6-3 6-3 victory over American Vania King.
The top eight seeds have a bye into the second round.
The event could be a battle for the world number one ranking between Ivanovic, Serbian compatriot Jelena Jankovic and Maria Sharapova.
The three are only 202 points apart, with 430 points up for grabs for the Rogers Cup winner.
